Loa Military - 2020 LOA Annual Award Spotlight: Wasatch Warrior Chapter - Lt Gen Donald J. Wetekam Chapter of the Year (Large) Hill AFB, Utah
The Wasatch Warrior LOA Chapter of Hill AFB, Utah, has been named the 2020 Lt Gen Donald J. Wetekam Chapter of the Year (Large Category). The diverse chapter has navigated a difficult year with COVID-19 CDC protocols. Despite the setbacks, the chapter continued to host several professional development opportunities both practical and personal following proper safety guidelines. The several branch members used their networks to pull together in preparation for several deployments around the world using the Air Force's first fighter codenamed F-35. The chapter underwent several new initiatives, including reorganization with combat generation squadrons and multi-trained pilots. In addition, uniformed and civilian department members worked tirelessly to ensure that critical depot operations continued under strict security protocols, allowing the Air Force to continue flying around the globe and guaranteeing national defense during one of the nation's most challenging times.
